Wildcard Character and Syllables
"In the Syllables tab of a syllabication group, there is a search field where, in addition to regular literal characters, you can use the wildcard character "*" to broaden search possibilities.
The wildcard character "*" can be used in various ways:
- "*": Finds all syllables. This is the default mode if the search field is empty.
- "a*": Finds all syllables that begin with. The initial literal part can be one or more characters.
- "*a": Finds syllables that end with. The final literal part can be one or more characters.
- "a*a": Finds syllables that both start and end with. The initial and final literal parts can be one or more characters.
- "*a*": Finds all syllables that contain. The central literal part can be one or more characters.
Naturally, if only literal characters are entered in the search field, the search will attempt to find exact syllables that match the search term.
